<br />Mr. Etzler said he has a list of the.hydrants.that need repair and since the <br />total cost is over $5,000.00 a motion to advertise for.bids is needed. <br />Mr. Busa questioned why the cost of repair is so high. <br />Firef ighter Mohr explained'f ive hydrants were destroyed and are inoperable. <br />Di'scussion was held regarding reimbursement to the Viilage_for damage to hydrants <br />resulting from automobile-.acc'idents. <br />Mr. Carmen requested the Police Department check their aceident reports tn make <br />sure payment was made to the Village for any known damage done to hydrants. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there.was'any discussion. <br />Mr. Carmen asked if all hydrants were inspected each year andif a list is made <br />of hydrants that have problems. <br />Firef ighter Mohr said there are a total of 307 hydrants in Ma.yfield Village, <br />one located every 300 feet. Each hydrant is inspected annually and this years <br />inspection was completed September 5th. A list mus't be documented for State <br />records. <br />Mr. Carmen requested copies of the lists be circulated to Council. <br />Rol1 Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Bids to be Advertised <br />Mrs. Bloom asked that approval be given for approximately $300.00 for the <br />Auxiliary Police Off icers new uniform shirts. <br />Mayor Beebe stated since the amount is minimal, all that is necessary is that <br />a requisition be submitted. <br />Ma.yor-Beebe stated he wi11 be discussing with Chief Stevens the new guns Lhey <br />requested as ne does not see the need.. He wi11 get back to the Safety and <br />Service Committee. <br />Finance - Mr. Etzler said the Finance Committee met this'evening at 7:00 p.m. <br />they approved the replacement hose for the Fire Department. They informed <br />the Financial Consultant of several new firms that moved into the Industrial <br />Park to see if we are receivirig the proper amount of income tax from them.? <br />Theyapproved payment of the $1,551.00 bill tor lights at the Service Building. <br />Mrs. Ruggles informed them that.th ' e.Federal Revenue Sharing anticipated to.be <br />$34,000.00 has been reduced to $22,000.00. They will begin 1983 wage ordinance <br />discussions Tuesday September 28 at 7:00 p.m. They would like to meet with <br />an employee delegate from each Department, and all of Council is welcome to <br />attend.
