<br />. Senior.Citi:zen Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa stated the Commission has had <br />several meetings and workshops..- They are planning a hayride. He will give <br />the details at the next Council meeting. <br />Mayor Beebe asked for details on the Senior•Citizens bus trip.being planned. <br />Mr. Busa said he does not have the f inal details yet. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Recodif ication-Update <br />Council President Spellman stated this was discussed during °'Mayor's Comments". <br />He feels Council should make a decision. He would prefer an update of the <br />Codif ied Ordinances be done instead of a total•recodif ication. <br />Mrs. Bloom said she agrees with Mr. Feneli's idea of having both companies <br />attend a Council Meeting to give their proposal. , <br />Discussion was helcl. <br />Mr. Feneli explained the proeess of upclating versus total recodif ication. <br />CounciT President Spellman stated he would like to start the October 4th meeting <br />at 7:00 p.m. He would like the Walter Drane Company to be here at 7:00 p:m. and <br />Justin,ian Publishing Company at 7:30 to give their presentations. He requested <br />Department.Heads be present at this meeting. Beech Hill/Beecher's Brook Council President Spellma,n stated, as in the $eptember 7th Special Meeting <br />minutes after the Executive Session; Council was of the general consensus that <br />they would assess the Beech Hill/Beecher's Brook residents for necessary road <br />repair to.be done. He asked if any Council member had a change of opinion. <br />There were no comments. <br />Mr•. Feneli explained it.takes a minimum.of 60 to 90 days to compiete the initial <br />steps of the assessment process. Therefore, it is not feasible.for the road to <br />be paved this year. This procedure should lie started in February or Mdreh so <br />the process is completed by May or June. Then the project can be put out for <br />bids and the work could be done during the summer months. <br />Mr. Carmen asked if the assessment process:could be started now so work could <br />commence at the beginning of -the'summere <br />Mr. Feneli said we could not be sure the bids would hold for the summer prices. <br />Mr. Hovancsek stated it will take 30-to 45 da.ys to.prepare the plans and . <br />specifications for the contract and a couple of weeks to determine the overall <br />assessment approach - unless the exact previous procedure is used.
