Zntroduced by Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Toth commented he thought this ordinance was going to be discussed by <br />Council as a Whole and the Department Heads would be asked for their input. <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Flynn, ma.de a motion to bring the ordinance back to <br />the floor for discussionv (It was tabled Nov. 15). <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Flynn withdrew his motion. <br />Council President Spellman said it was suggested this ordinance remain tabled <br />and be discussed December 13 at the Finance Meeting and the final decision would <br />be made December. 20. <br />Mrs. Hanus asked_if the December 13 Finance Meeting was for everyone, or just <br />the Finance Committee. <br />Mr. Toth said all of the Finance rseetings are open to everyone. <br />Mr. Carmen said.at the last meeting Council received a list detailing the <br />spending limits of several other communities. At that time he thought other <br />communities should be checked as well. Since then, Mrs. Bloom has prepared <br />another list which he suggests Council review. <br />Mrs. Bloom said she talked to the Finance Departments of various communities. <br />Their basic response was the proposed $750.00 spending limit was not advisable <br />as it would stall many necessary purchases.
