6 n ) <br />21 + ki <br />Council President Spellma.n said the ordinance will remain tabled, as <br />suggested and will be discussed at the December 13 Finance Meeting and <br />a decision will be made on December 20. <br />Council President Spellman asked Mrs. Ruggles to present her f inancial <br />report on tax equity. <br />Mrs. Ruggles read the letter she wrote to the Mayor and Council regarding <br />the Tax Equity and Fiscal Responsibility Act passed by Congress August 19, <br />1982. She asked for Council's support in complying with the requests of <br />the Municipal Treasurers Association by adopting a resolution. <br />Mr. Toth said he sent a letter to Congress and Senators as a representative <br />of Mayf ield Village, requestin.g they delay this law to begin in 1983. He <br />also recommends Council adopt a resolution. <br />Council President Spellman asked Mr. Feneli to prepare the above-mentioned <br />resolution. He said Council received a sample resolution attached to the <br />memo from Mrso Ruggles. Mr. Spellman asked if the resolution could be passed <br />in title this eveninga <br />Resolution 82-92, entitled; "A RESOLUTION REQUESTING A DELAY BY THE UNITED <br />STATES.CONGRESS IN THE IMPLEMENTATION OF THE TAX EQUITY AND FISCAL RESPONSIBILITY <br />ACT OF 1982 AS IT PERTAINS TO THE REQUIREMENT THAT AS OF JANUARY l, 1983 ALL <br />NEW MUNICIPAL BONDS MUST BE ISSUED IN REGISTERED FORM TO PRESERVE THEIR TAX- <br />EXEMPT STATUS." Introduced by the Mayor & Council as a Whole. <br />Council President Spellma.n, seconded by Mr. Busa, made a motion to adopt <br />Resolution 82-92. <br />Council President Spellman asked if there was any discussion. <br />There was none. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />N.E.O.R.S. Meeting - re Beech Hill Pumping Station <br />Mayor Beebe stated that per his request, there was a meeting this morning in <br />his off ice with representatives from the_Northeast Ohio Regional Sewer District, <br />Mr. Schatz and Mr. Debevec. Mr. Schulte, Mr. Hovancsek, Mr. Amendola, Mr. <br />Feneli, Mrs. Hanus, and residents Mrs. FitzGerald and Mre Rash also attended <br />this meeting. He said it was one of the most constructive meetings he has <br />attended and was quite pleased with the results of that meeting. They reviewed <br />the December 2 letter from Mr. Schatz. He reported Mr. Debevec, was was <br />appointed six months ago, has already inaugurated certain changes, and they <br />will have more follow up data for us on January 17. We have not had an <br />overflow in the past three to four months, either dry or wet weather.
