<br />Discussion was held. <br />Mayor Beebe said he discussed the matter with Al Scaccia and they concurred <br />there would be greater visibility on the corner. They determined the sale <br />would be held in the mound area. He said the pumpkin sale held on the corner <br />was very successful and that aided their decision to use the corner. , <br />Mre Busa said he has mixed emotions about using the corner but realizes more <br />trees would be sold because of the greater visibility and the grass would be <br />seeded again later anyway. <br />Council President Spellma.n asked for volunteers to help sell trees. <br />Mayor Beebe said he wants to offer the annual proclamation from the Ohio <br />Motorists Association regarding drinking and driving during the holiday season. <br />He read the proclamation, proclaiming now through January lst as a period of <br />rational moderation in driving, urging all citizens to observe thi.s period to <br />protect the lives of those on the highways. He said if there were no objections <br />from Council the proclamation will stand. There were no objections. Mayor <br />Beebe asked Mr. Feneli to prepare the Proclamation in our standard form. <br />Mayor Beebe said the monthly cal.endar indicates.Council Mestings to be held on <br />the f irst and third Mondays. He said the meeting on the first Nlonday would be <br />a'Caucus unless a Special Meeting Notice was sent out. He sa.id there seems to <br />be doubt whether or not there is a meeting. He asked that the Engineer, Law <br />Director and Finance Director be notified when their attendance would not be <br />necessary at these Special Meetings. <br />Council President Spellman,stated the Senior Gentry Christmas Party will be <br />Saturday, December 11 from l p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Community Room. He said <br />they have a variety of functions and if anyone 60 or over is interested he <br />will advise them who to contact. _ <br />He said regarding City records, discussion was held earlier this year about the <br />disposal of records. He said he is in favor of this because there are records <br />upstairs that date back to the 1850's. <br />Mr. Feneli said the Ohio Revised Code mandates that all villages and cities <br />have a Records Commission. The Records Commission would include the Mayor, <br />the Law Director and the Finance Director. They are to periodically review <br />the records and dispose-of material with no value and save what might be of <br />historic value. <br />Mr. Toth commented the process is alot more detailed and basically explained <br />what must be done. <br />Mr. Busa said the Commission on Aging is anxious to know the amount of <br />financial assistance they will be'receiving next year.
