go <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said the Board met.August 22. They <br />approved the plans for three single-family dwellings and one attached garage. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for a meeting <br />this month. <br />Commissi:on on Aging - Mr. Etzler said flu shots will be given October 9 and <br />a Youngstown trip is planned for October 27. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Committee met September 9. Items discussed included <br />Community Development Funds, income tax; contractor wage reporting, wage talks, <br />and $16,000 related-to the Community Room will be returned to the General Fund. <br />(See Finance minutes 9/9/85.) <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Mills said there was no•report_. <br />M.A.R.C. - ASr. Etzler said there was no report. Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said they met September 19, Several items <br />were discussed that need to be reviewed further at the next Workshop meeting, <br />including: Ken's Auto Body - renewal of special use permit, Sherwin-Williams, <br />VanCuren-Bill Knapp proposal at the Standard Oil location; which has., <br />temporarily been put on hold, and Aintree North. (See P&Z Minutes 9/3/85.) <br />Recreation - There was no report. <br />Safety and Service - Mr. Basile said the Committee met earlier this evening <br />with Sgt. Jay. They discussed the proposed pavement widening at SOM/Beta. <br />The Committee approved the proposal and recommends Council vote on it tonight. <br />The northbound lane would be widened, and the area to be widened would be a <br />little more than outlined-on the drawing. Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to approve the expenditure <br />in an amount not to exceed $5,000, for the widening of the pavement at S.O.M. <br />Center Road and Beta Drive. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Etzler, Mr. Flynn, and Mrs. Mills <br />NAYS: Mr. Goley <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />D.I.C.E. Corgoration - Back Taxes - Mr. Feneli informed Council of the progress <br />in the case. He recently met with Mr. Santiemmo's accountant was was notified <br />of several debts that are ahead of us, which he verified. He asked if Council <br />would accept payment of the principal amount of taxes due, $6,817.48, if it is <br />paid within 45 days. If Council will agree to accept this amount, an agreement signed by Mr. Santiemmo will be forthcoming. <br />Mayor Carmen asked if this was the Law Director's recommendation. <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />Mr. Feneli said he recommends the Village take the principal amount due. If <br />Mr. Santiemmo does not comply with the terms of the settlement, we will be <br />able to reschedule the hearing after the 45 days expire.
