42 <br />MAYOR'S COMNIENTS. <br />Mayor Carmen had no comments. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br />Mr. Etzler had no comments. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Chief Hejcl.said they received a certificate from Hillcrest Hospital regarding <br />improvement in medical service. He will forward a copy to the Mayor and Council. <br />Mr. Amendola reported the results from the first car wash, held Saturday, April <br />21. The donations ranged from 27?_ to $20 and the total received was $322.27. <br />He said that.Les Foltz was transferred to the Cleveland Clinic due to additional <br />findings. <br />Mr. Toth reported that of the bids received for the Beech Hill notes, the lowest <br />interest rate for one year was 6.65%. It was discussed at the Finance Committee <br />Meeting earlier this evening. He presented a signed copy of the Fiscal Officer's <br />Certificate per said Ordinance on the note, to Council. <br />I <br />I <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said they met April 19. They <br />approved a swimming pool for a private resident and a room addition for a <br />single family...dwelling. They rejected three sets of drawings for further <br />information. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said they met April 10. The meeting was called <br />to discuss the request for a variance at 6441 Highland Road. The resident <br />wanted to install a fence which would act as a noise barrier. After reviewing <br />the request, the Board of Appeals granted the variance on the basis that the <br />adjacent property is Rt. 271. The variance allows an eight foot stockage fence <br />to be placed on the west side of his property. It will be placed off the <br />property line to allow maintenance of the high tension wires by C.E.I. <br />Commission..ori Aging - Mr. Etzler said they are working on staxting a.medical <br />I.D. card program for Village seniors. <br />Finance - Mrs. Bloom said they met earlier this evening. R.I.T.A. taxes are <br />currently down. They anticipate the year-end figures to be above the 1983 <br />amount but less than 1982. Mr. Toth put together information on appropriations <br />for Department Heads. The new time sheets are working well. <br />Firemen's DeRendents Fund - Mr. Fl.ynn said there was no report. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils.- Mrs. Bloom said they will meet this Wednesday <br />at 7:30 p.m. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Goley said he was unable to attend the last meeting because <br />it was the same evening as the insurance meeting.
