14 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />2/15/88 . <br />Page 2 <br />Boa"rd of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirment for a meeting. <br />Cemetery - Mrso Cinco reported that she is the 1988 Treasur•er for the <br />Cemetery. <br />Commission on-Aging - Mrs. Cinco said that the Commission on Aging held an <br />informal meeting last week since no one was sworn in at that time. She said <br />that they will be attending a play at the Playhouse on March 19. The <br />Anniversary Party will be held on May 14v A holiday luncheon was held today 'for the police, fire, service, and administration employees. <br />Hillcrest Council of-Councils - Mr, Santoro reported that a meeting was held <br />on January 307 New and old members were acquainted and the new officials <br />were sworn in. He said that discussion was.,held regarding firearms,. 9-1-1, <br />hazardous waste, and emission testing. <br />M.A:R:C: - Mre Petschauer said there was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission met February lst. (see <br />P& Z minutes) He said that a meeting of the Worton Park Homeowner's <br />Association was held February 4. Mro Basile asked Mr. Rinker to explain the <br />outcome of that meeting. <br />Mr. Rinker.said that The Worton Park Homeowner's Association had.proposed to <br />revote concerning the proposal to tie Worton Park Drive with the Progressive <br />driveway. He explained that when the vote was made by the Association over <br />a year ago, they had voted against tieing in Worton Park to the drivee He <br />said that they decided to put it up to a new vote. Mr. Rinker said that it <br />was soundly defeated. He said that it was the vote of the Homeowner's <br />Association not to tie Worton Park into the driveway in any way. <br />Recreation - Mro Santoro reported that Adult Volleyball and Men's Over 30 <br />Basketball have begune He noted some of the upcoming activities which will <br />take place throughout the years <br />Safety -and-Service - Mrs. Mills said that the committee discussed Enhanced <br />9-1-1 service and replacement pagers for the Fire Department. She commented <br />that the items are very necessary and noted their inclusion on the agenda. <br />OLD-BUSINESS <br />Progressive -Ins.urance-=-Worton_Park - Mr. Basile said that Mro Rinker had <br />already reported"on this subject. <br />Historical Society Proposed Lease Change - Mayor Carmen said that the lease <br />as been signed. - <br />Burgess &'Niple-Report - Mr. Hovancsek said that he had contacted Burgess <br />and Niple; they have completed the draft report. He said that they had <br />indicated that they would be contacting Mayor Carmen.
