Regular Council Meeting <br />2/15/88 <br />Page 3 <br />Mayor Carmen said that he had spoken to Larry Woodlan of Burgess & Niplee <br />He_ will be meeting with Mrm Woodlan a week from Wednesday. Mayor Carmen <br />said that he had requested that Burgess & Niple put an outline in writing. <br />He also requested that they attend the March Caucus to let Council know <br />where they stand with the study, and feels they will probably do so. <br />Bike Path Guard Rails - Mr. Basile said that he would like for the guard <br />rails to be i place by the time the weather changeso _ <br />Spa hetti Com any _'Addition - Mayor Carmen said that a meeting had been <br />schedul d for earlier this evening. He said that since Mr. Musca was out of <br />town, the meeting was canceled, It will be rescheduled when Mre Musca is <br />able to attenda . <br />Third Reading`-of--Ordinance-No 87=29, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING <br />SECTIONS '549.11 THROUGH 54 .16 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO THE SALE OF FIREARMS, AIR GUNS, B-B GUNS OR <br />SIMILAR WEAPONS WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY, REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES <br />INCONSISENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." (First Reading 9/21/87, Second Readinng <br />10/19/88, Tabled 11/16/87.) <br /> Mr. Feneli said he understood that legislation was pending; however, he does <br /> not know what the House will do. He said that some of the items addressed <br /> in our legislation are not included in that bill. He explained that they <br /> could still be enforced. He said that Council may want to wait until they <br />- see the outcome of that bill before they enact this ordinance. Then, they <br /> may want him and Chief Stevens to revise the ordinance. <br /> Mr. Flynn asked Chief Stevens what his opinion was. <br /> Chief Stevens recommended that Council wait to see what the State does <br /> before they enact the pending legislation. He said that this is not a <br /> pressing problem. Mills said that the Safety and Service Committee <br />discussed this item. They felt, from what they could ascertain, that the <br />pagers were necessary.
