16 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />2/15/88 <br />Page 4 <br />Chief Mohr said that this item will be brought up with their budget <br />requests. He said that the propsal is to replace our current pagers over a <br />course of three years. He said that we need 10 now (at $350/each), and an <br />encoder (at approximately $1,000.) <br />Mayor Carmen said that budget propsals have been submitted by Department <br />Heads. He said that they will be going over the budget items on Wednesday. <br />Mayor Carmen said that by the end of this week or next, a copy of the budget <br />will be distributed to Council. He explained that he asked Department Heads <br />to prioritize their needs and to prepare a"wish list." He -said that <br />Council will' receive a copy of the capital appropriation items with the <br />budget proposalse At that point, Council will have a better lcnowledge of <br />how to proceed in terms of appropriations. <br />Generator--f or Fire Station - Chief Mohr said that when C.E.I. turned the <br />power off last week, the 1948 generator in the Fire'Department went out. He <br />said they had to manually put the bay doors up and down. Chief Mohr said ` <br />that he checked with every vendor, and that there are no parts for that <br />generator available in the United States. The estimated cost of replacement <br />is $7,000 - $8,000. Mayor Carmen said that we must draft specifications f or the generator so <br />that the item can be bid. <br />Chief Mohr 'said that they might be able to tie into the Village Hall <br />generator. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Chief Mohr to prepare alternatives and costs associated <br />with each. Mayor Carmen said that he will report on this item to Council. <br />Planniug and Zoning-Vacancies - Mayor Carmen said that letters will be sent <br />to the two new members (Sander Bordonaro, and Nelson {Wes} Marrotte.), <br />Midvale- Association - Mr. Basile said that several lots on S.O.M. ..Center <br />Road are listed as sold to a"Midvale Association." He said that he is <br />trying to find out who the Midvale Association is. <br />Mayor Carmen explained why it would probably not be possible to find out who <br />the Midvale Association ise <br />Enhanced 911 <br />suppliers, but <br />soon as he <br />distribute it. <br />- Chief Mohr said that he has contacted the three local <br />has not been able to to contact the others. He said that as <br />receives all the information, he will put it in writing and <br />First -Reading of- 0"rdinance-No:-88=7, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING <br />SECTION 505.02 0 THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO <br />PERTAINING TO THE ANIMAL WARDEN, REPEALING EXISTING SECTION 505.02 AND <br />ORDINANCE N0. 84-34 AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY."
