4 <br />65 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />6/20/88 <br />Page 5 <br />Special Meeting of Council - June 16, 1988 - Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. <br />Basile; made a motion to approve the minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN <br />Mayor Carmen had no comment. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BASILE <br />Mr. Basile asked what the pleasure of Council was regarding the Caucus date <br />since the first Monday of July was a holiday. <br />Council agreed to hold the July Caucus meeting on the second Monday and move <br />the Ordinance Review Committee to the fourth Monday. <br />Mr. Basile commented that there was a recent fire at Don Ray Products and <br />that it was a good thing they $ad a sprinkler system in that building. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that bids will be received on July lst for the pavement <br />removal and replacement on Hickory Hill, Sandalwood, and Butternut. <br />Mr. Ramos said he will be preparing legislation f or a landscaping architect, <br />a septic tank inspection at the point of sale, an occupancy permit for <br />safety features, and regarding bond"money that is not returned to the <br />Finance'Department for the next Caucus. <br />Chief Mohr said an inspector went to two new occupancies on Beta Drive today <br />and found that both had flammable liquids that we weren't aware of. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board -Mr. Amendola said the committee approved three <br />single-family dwellings, two decks, a f ence, and an above-ground pool at <br />their June 9th meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for a meeting <br />this month. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said that the water pump at the Mayfield Union <br />Cemetery is not safe. People should not drink the water. She said they <br />will be putting up a sign advising people not to drink the water. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Cinco said the Commission on Aging will hold <br />their Welcome Summer Barbeque at Wiley Park this Wednesday starting at 4 <br />p.m.
