99 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />8/15/88 <br />Page 5 <br />Safety.at SOM.& Ridgebury.-:Mr..Basile said that the left-turn traffic has to <br />yield to cars coming out of the drive at Ridgebury and SOM. . <br />Chief Stevens said that he has discussed.this with them and told them that it <br />will remain as it is. <br />Approval of Expenditure for Hepatitis Vaccination - Mr. Basile, seconded by <br />Mr. Flynn, made a motion to approve the expenditure of $4,578.95 for hepatitis <br />vaccinations for the,safety departmentsa <br />Roll Call: AYES: All. <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Approved <br />Street Striping - Council agreed that the Clerk of Council should advertise <br />for bids for street striping. <br />Owner/Builder Compliance witli A.RoB.-Mandates - Mr. Basile asked Mr. Amendola <br />if the job was stopped in Hanover Woods at Sublot 41. <br />Mr. Amendola said that an improper building material was useda He said the <br />material has been treated with a skin coat of urethane and that he will permit <br />the contractor to finish the job. <br />Mr. Basile asked about.the August 12th letter from the Architectural Review <br />Board. <br />Mr. Amendola explained the procedure of the Architectural Review Board. <br />Mr. Ramos said there is a question on whether or_not we can make the A.R.B. <br />decisions mandatory. He said as long as the builders are complying with the <br />code he does not know if we can force them to do what the A.R.B. dictates. <br />Mr. Ramos said he thinks there is something in the code that says it is <br />mandatory that plans and specs be complied with. He said if the A.R.B. needs <br />something stronger than that.legislation may be needed. <br />Mr.:said that the A.R.B. has requested something. <br />Discussion was held about windows. <br />Mr. Ramos said that he will check with the members of the Architectural Review <br />Board about what they are requesting and will get something on it. <br />Mr. Basile said if legislation is necessary that it should be prepared as soon <br />as possible. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 88-24, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING CHAPTER <br />1385 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, PERTAINING TO <br />GARAGE AND PUBLIG SALES•.IN RESIDENTIAL.DISTRICTS AND REPEALING ALL -ORDINANCES <br />INCONSISTENT,HEREWITH." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. <br />Mr. Amendola asked if there is a change to be made in this ordinance if, it <br />could be inserted before the second reading. <br />Mr. Ramos said yes.
