1 47 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/21/88 <br />Page 3 <br />receive input to help design the program for use by the communities outside <br />the school. He said he hopes it will be set up sometime next month. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said they did not meet this month. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said the Commission discussed Ordinances <br />88-35, 88-39, and 88-40. He said they recommend passage of Ordinance No. <br />88-35 contingent upon clarification of the definition of height--that it- be <br />included in the ordinance. Mr. Basile said the Commission recommends passage <br />of Ordinances 88-39 and 88-40. He reported that the Commission reviewed and <br />approved the preliminary site plan for Progressive Insurance. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Santoro said that he would like to thank Mayor Carmen, <br />Marie Basile, and Patrolman Mac Griesmar for judging the costumes at the <br />Halloween Party. He reminded everyone that the Christmas Party will be held <br />on December 11 at 1 p.m. in the Community Room. <br />Safet_y and Service - Mrs. Mills said there was no report. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Aintree North Drainage - Mayor Carmen said that an attempt was made to have a <br />meeting with Mr. Caticchio (the attorney representing the developer) on <br />Wednesday. However, Mr. Caticchio advised Mr. Ramos that he didn't want to <br />meet with Mayor Carmen. Mayor Carmen said that he had a telephone coversation <br />with Mr. Caticchio. Following that conversation, he concluded that the <br />problem might be with Mr. Caticchio and not with the client. He said that he <br />called the client directly and they advised him that they didn't know what he <br />was doing and said that they would discuss the matter and get back to Mayor <br />Carmen shortly. Mayor Carmen said that he hopes to have a resolution shortly. <br />White Road Ditches - Mr. Hovancsek said the County won't be doing anything <br />this year. They are reducing their staff and it will have to wait until next <br />year. <br />No Parking Signs at Fisher's Tavern - Mr. Ramos said that he found <br />authorization under the Ohio Fire Code to declare that area a fire lane. He <br />said that a letter will be sent from the Fire Department tel.ling them to turn <br />the area into a fire lane. <br />Mayor Carmen said that they have agreed to do it and that the letter sent <br />should be a friendly letter because they have indicated a spirit of <br />cooperation. <br />Mr. Ramos said that he will be sending the letter this week. <br />Assistant Service Director - Mayor Carmen said that the situation remains the <br />same and that he does not think there will be a change until Mr. Marquardt's <br />term expires: Mayor Carmen said that a handbook for employees which will <br />include uniform rules and regulations for Service, Administration, Police, <br />Fire, and Civil Service is being prepared. He said that the book Wi1i be an. <br />interpretive guide which will give examples of how rules work, etc.
