149 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/21/88 <br />Page 5 <br />Pumping Station Landscaping & Maintenance - Mr. Hovancsek said that he has not <br />heard anymore from the County Sanitary Engineer's Department. They were <br />processing the invoice through the County Commissioners and he expects to <br />receive the money shortly. <br />Mr. Ramos said he received a call this afternoon from Rick Fants regarding <br />this. He said that the one thing that the County needs is a letter from him <br />stating the work totaled $3,881.25. The Auditor 'will accept that as an <br />origin,al invoice. Mr. Ramos said that he will be sending the letter out <br />tomorrow morning. <br />Village Plaza Occupancy - Mr. Ramos said that they have not brought forward a <br />proposal for any type of new tenant. He said that it was understanding that <br />we were going to play it by ear. Therefore, he has not been in contact with <br />Mr. Norton. <br />Mayor Carmen asked if the Police Department had been monitoring the traffic <br />situation at the Village Plaza. <br />Sgt. Jay said that the Police Department has not actually been monitoring the <br />parking situation but has not noticed a problem. <br />Mayor Carmen said that we had told Mr. Musca that we would monitor the area <br />for a while and that we would consider or not consider a parking variance <br />depending on the information we receive. He asked Sgt. Jay to take a traffic <br />count over a 30 day period or so--over a couple of months. He said that since <br />Yours Truly is still new, parking should be monitored during December and <br />January. He said that Council could receive a report by the February Council <br />meeting so that they know whether or not to consider a variance. He said that <br />he understood a dry cleaner might want to go in there. <br />Berm Work at East Side SOM Center - Mr. Flynn said that he thinks Mr. <br />Hovancsek has prepared figures that are quite sizeable and he thinks this item <br />should be discussed by the Finance Committee. , <br />Mayor Carmen said he thinks this should be considered as a budget item for <br />1989. He said that he hopes to get State or County to share the cost and that <br />the State mandated the way it was to be constructed. <br />Mr. Rinker asked if there was any kind of appeal system. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said he did not know but would check into it. He said that <br />there was discussion some time ago about redoing the southerly portion and <br />that it may be able to be tied in together. <br />Mr. Flynn asked how it would relate to the quote from Terraco given on October <br />25. <br />Mr. Hovancsek explained that the quote received from Terraco is only good for <br />30 days. <br />High Band Frequenc_y Police Communications System - Sgt. Jay said that Chief <br />Stevens is still getting prices on that.
