167 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />12/19/88 <br />Page 3 <br /> Finance - Mr. Flynn stated that the Committee met this evening. He <br /> said that they have scheduled another meeting for January 11, 1989 at <br /> 7:30 p.m. Discussion will concern employees' wages. After this, a <br /> meeting will be held with employees on another date. Mr. Flynn said <br /> that the Finance Committee recommends that Council pass Resolution No. <br /> 88-58 and 88-59, and Ordinances 88-44 and 88-45. He said the Committee <br /> recommends the purchase of another snow blade for up to $3,600. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Cinco asked Mrs. Mills if she had a report. <br />Mrs. Mills said that their annual Christmas Potluck Dinner was held at <br />the Gates Mills Civic Center. It was very well-attended. She said that <br />they are making repairs etc. and trying to get it all flying. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Rinker said that he and Mr. Santoro attended their last <br />meeting but that there was no news to report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said that the Committee did not <br />meet this month. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile reported on the Meeting held on <br />December 5. <br />Recreation - There was no report since Mr. Santoro was absent. <br />Safet_y and Service - Mrs. Mills said that they did not have a meeting. <br />She said that they received a letter from Chief Stevens regarding the <br />right turn on red (from Wilson Mills onto S.O.M.) Mrs. Mills said that <br />Chief Stevens had requested that the sign not be put back up. <br />Chief Stevens said that he would prefer that the sign wasn't put back <br />up right away. <br />Mrs. Mills asked if Mr. Hovancsek had obtained any prices on the left- <br />turn arrow for east/west Wilson Mills. Since Mr. Wolszynek did not <br />know, she asked that he have Mr. Hovancsek to look into this. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />No Parking Signs at Fisher's Tavern Chief Mohr reported that the signs <br />are ready to go. He said that Mayor Carmen talked to the owners of <br />Fisher's Tavern. <br />Mr. Basile said that he would like to see the signs put up by the end <br />of this week. He asked whose responsibility it was to put them up. <br />Mr. Ramos said that he will call Mr. Cole to see what the problem is. <br />If the problem is ordering the signs, he will put him in touch with Mr. <br />Amendola. He will check with Mayor Carmen to see if everything was <br />worked out. <br />Drainage - North Side of Highland Road - This item was referred to the <br />next Council Caucus.
