48 <br /> <br />Mr. Etzler said Resolution No. 86-17 will be considered at the Special Council <br />Meeting on Wednesday. <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Sewer Assessment - Mr. Flynn said he has not received any further information <br />from the Law Director. <br />Sign Illumination Ordinance (Progress since'passed) - Mayor Carmen said <br />discussion was held at a Caucus.regarding some of the concerns about the overall <br />sign ordinance and how they wanted to handle it. It was the concensus of the <br />Council members present to hold off on the enforcement of that ordinance passed <br />until it could be looked at in concert with all of the rest of the sign <br />ordinance. Secondly, discussion was held on tna`sign on Wilson Mills that <br />caused.problems. He asked for unoffieial authorization from Council to.expend <br />funds to essentially "buy back" that sign; and was given the authorization to <br />spend up to $2,500. He.met with the principal of Century 21 last Wednesday <br />to explain the problem. He asked him if he would be willing to share in the <br />cost of the sign, 50%, and put in a new sign. The new sign would be located 30 <br />feet back from the street, perpendicular (not parallel) in accordance with the <br />existing ordinance. The sign would have a.dark background with white letters. <br />Mayor Carmen said he agreed.to all of the.items requested, and will remove-'the <br />sign. The only request he made was to have their st.andard height of 8 feet, <br />and asked that Mayor Carmen and Council work with him to get a variance. <br />Mayor Carmen said he did not feel there was a problem with that if the other <br />changes could be worked out. The light is now going off at 7 p.m. as we <br />requested. Introduced by <br />Mayor Carmen and Council as a Wholeo <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 86-6, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING, IN PART, <br />SECTION 1 OF ORDINANCE N0. 85-6 PERTAINING TO THE SUM APPROPRIATED FOR THE <br />GENERAL FUND FOR CURRENT EXPENSES AND OTHER ENPENDITURES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, <br />OHIO, FOR.CURRENT EXPENSES AND OTHER EXPENDTTURES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, <br />FOR THE PERIOD EROM JANUARY l, 1985 TO DECEMBER 31, 1985." Carmen. <br />Mr. Etzler said Ordinance 86-6 will be considered on Wednesday. <br />First Reading of Resolution 86-20, entitled; "A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL <br />COUNTY-WIDE 9-1-1 PLAN AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Council <br />President Richard C. Etzler. <br />Mr. Petschauer said at the last Eastgate Estates homeowner's meeting, Mr. <br />Alsenas made a presentation of the plan. Al1 residents who attended were <br />unanimounsly in favor and they asked him to convey their feelings. <br />Mr. Etzler said Resolution 86-20 will also be discussed Wednesday.
