He would like to.invite <br />every resident to inspect his driveway to see if it was resurfaced last ' <br />summer. <br />Mr. Petschauer said he agrees with Mayor Carmen and Mr. Etzler. The letter <br />is filled with half-truths and complete falsehoods. <br />Mr. Etzlez- said when he donated some $2,500 worth of wallpaper for the <br />community.room, it is funny that that's not in the letter. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT ETZLER <br />Mr. Etzler said that a number of residents have expressed their objections. <br />to the Village paying for the Century 21 sign. He said there was.some <br />sort=ccf= misunderstanding; no payment was ever made by Maytield Village <br />to do anything on that sign. <br />Mr. Etzler said they are:having a problem with the sign ordinance and <br />will be discussing it at the next Council Caucus. It should be on the <br />agenda next month. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS: <br />Sgt. Det. Smith said that Ptl. LaBuda is now on the job.on his own. He <br />has graduated from police academy at Case Western Reserve, and had a <br />pre-training prior tb that. The other two officers are both certified <br />but may have to pick up a little bit of training: <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that bids for the resurfacing of certain streets <br />were received on June 6. The Horvitz Company was the low bidder. He <br />hoped this could be acted on soon so that the contractor could move forward. <br />Mr. Etzler said this will be discussed at the Finance Committee meeting <br />after this meeting. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola reported on May 22nd meeting. <br />Seven sets of new house plans were subinitted, six were approved and one <br />must be resubmitted. <br />Board?:of.Appeals-- There was no requirement for a megting. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler said the Commission on Aging taill hold a <br />picriic in the park on June 25 and are planning a bus trip to Erie, Penn- <br />sylvania on July 7. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said the Committee will be meeting foll:owing this <br />meeting tonight. Mr. Hovancsek submitted the plans for the community
