96 <br />Special Meeting of Council - June 23, 1986 - Mr. Goley, seconded by Mr. Flynn, <br />made a motion to approve the minutes. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />COMMENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN: <br />Motion Carried <br />Minutes Approved <br />Mayor Carmen said Mike Girbino, a new full-time firefighter was present to <br />be sworn in. He said yIike has already started, and is a registered, <br />certified paramedic and welcomed him to-,the Village. Mayor Carmen administer.ed <br />the oath of office to Mike Girbino. <br />Mayor Carmen reminded everyone that there is a drainage meeting.Saturday, July <br />26, at 9:30 a.m. He said he included a tear sheet in the last V.O.V. asking <br />people with drainage problems to advise us. <br /> <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT ETZLER: <br />Mr. Etzler said if there were no objections he would like to add Resolution No. <br />86-43 regardin.g street resurfacing, to the agenda. There were no objections. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said that they approved two new house <br />plans at their last meeting. Three plans were rejected and must be resubmitted. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for a meeting <br />last month. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Etzler said the Commission will hold a bus trip to <br />Pittsburgh on August 6, a Picnic in the Park on July 24, and announced the <br />regular monthl.y meetings he1d. They will begin a new program called the 5th <br />Tuesday Card Club. Those interested in flu shots should contact the Village <br />Hall for registration information. They will hold a"People's Court`;' on July <br />31 with Judge Grogan explaining the procedure of the Small Claims Court. <br />Finance:- Mr. Flynn said no meeting was held, they will have to reschedule. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Petschauer was absent; no report. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Etzler said there was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said they did not have a quorum at their <br />Regular Meeting. He said the question was brought up at their Workshop <br />Meeting.about having offices in the Racquet Club, and asked Mr. Feneli to <br />explai.n this to Council. <br />Mr. Feneli said at a Special Meeting, Planning and Zoning recommended approval <br />of property expansion of offices.at-the Racquet Club'. He explained that it is <br />expansion of a permitted use becaus'e in 1980-that area was rezoned to Production- <br />Distribution. The Planning and Zoning Commission recommends that Council <br />approve 6,400 square feet for office use in the Racquet Club. They already <br />have a tenant, an accouting firm.
