He said the
only legal way to get done what we want to get done, is to make
our feelings known to the A.R.B. and hope that they turn it
down.
Dave Strnad, 6871 Hickory_Hill_Drive, said if you're talking
about everything that must be done legally,. then why didn't the
Building Commissioner submit those plans before he issued the
permit.
Mayor Carmen said that he made a mistake. He said that the
building permit is not the controlling document, the controlling
document is the application. The building permit has been
revoked. The only thing that matters is that an application was
made prior to the change in this ordinance.
Mr. Dindia,_6720 Hickory_Hill_Drive, said we've been lied to
more than once. Mr. Dindia said that Mr. Feneli called him
earlier today and said that just the Klines and you could come
to the meeting tonight.
Mr. Feneli said he told Mr. Dindia this was a public meeting and
invited him personally.
Mr. Dindia said Mayor Carmen invited the others, and they have
their rights. Mr. Amendola made the mistake, and we have to
live with it, no way. Let him pay for this.
Mr. Feneli said the old Council made a mistake. This was
adopted in 1935 and maybe wasn"t a mistake at that time.
Mr. Dindia said that some people have in their deed restrictions
that you can only have a 2 1/2 car garage that live on Hickory
Hill Drive.
Mr. Feneli said he had a copy of the deed restrictions.
Mr. Klang asked if this was done properly, it went in front of
the Board before any construction was done, and the A.R.B.
refused it, more plans were submitted, it was refused again, so
finally maybe 2 or three times it's still disapproved, the slab
wouldn"t be there.
Mr. Feneli and Mayor Carmen explained that if that procedure
had been followed, and if the A.R.B. had already approved this,
there would be nothing the residents could say about it now.
