The only
thing they'll do there is wash and wax the cars and cover them
in the winter. They will not be conducting any type of
business.
Mrs. Postacchini asked why it didn 't go through someone 's mind
why such a big building was being built on such a small lot.
Mayor Carmen said we do not inquire into those things, we only
check the code to see whether or not the building in question
meets the code.
Mrs. Postacchini said about 18 years ago she wanted to put up
a small shed and was not allowed to do so.
Mr. Comella said he would like to com ment on Dale's comment that
construction would come to a standstill if we coulcln't expedite
permits immediately. He said, this is not true. If a builder
wants to build in Mayfield Village which is an extremely
desirable area, he will gladly submit his plans, make revisions,
and resubmit them to get a permit. One month means nothing.
Mayor Carmen said he agrees that we need to have an A.R.B.
review plans before permits are issued, arid feels this should be
changed.
Mr. Dindia asked if, becau5e the man has a hobby, that the
neighbors must suffer the rest of their lives.
Olga_Koenig, 6847_Hickory_Hill_Drive asked if the Architectural
Review Board could only object to the design of the building,
not the size.
Mr. Feneli said they could not object to the size, and quoted
the criteria the A.R.B. is supposed to review.
Mayor Carmen read the comments by the A.R.B. in their minutes of
9/26/86 regarding their review. (See attached minutes.)
James_Haffey, 480_Hickory_Hill_Drive, asked, as it stands now,
is there a chance that this building could be built.
Mayor Carmen said yes.
