He said that wetlands aze areas <br />where there has been previous flooding; vegetation, swampy areas. <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 90-2, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING NEW <br />SECTION 1377.01 PERTAINING TO TBE INSTALLATION OF SMOKE DETECTORS <br />IN RESIDENTIAL DWELLINGS, REPEALING EXISTING SECT'ION 1377.01 OF <br />TfE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VII.LAGE, OHIO, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. (First <br />Reading 1/22/90, amended 3/19/90) - <br />Mr. Ramos said a motion from Council will be necessary to amend the legislation. Council <br />had discussed deleting reference to existing dwellings and only requiring compliance in <br />relation to homes that there were alterations of addirions made. <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to amend Ordinance No. 90-2 (per <br />amendments noted by Mr. Ramos; amended legislation dated 3/19/90.) <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Amended <br />Mayor Carmen questioned why the existing homes would not have to comply. <br />Chief Mohr said he feels that the legislation should spell out what must be followed. He <br />suggests following the NFPA Code and that such requirement is the responsibility of each <br />home owner. He asked why the condominiums were not included. <br />; Council agreed to leave the ordinance on second reading. Mr. Ramos will circulate the <br />changes. <br />Third Reading of Ordinance No. 90-4, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE ENACTING NEW <br />CHAP'TER 751 OF TBE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VII.LAGE, <br />PERTAINIlNG TO THE SALE OF IRRADIATED FOODS AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. (First Reading <br />1/22/90, Second Reading 2/19/90) <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Pietrafese, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 90-4. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />NEW BUSINESS <br />Quote regarding Pressure Washer for Service Building - Mr. Amendola said it would be <br />used to get the salt off vehicles and to wash the walls down, etc. There is a machine <br />available for $2,495. <br />Mayor Carmen said he would approve the purchase order.
