He said they <br />` would like to discuss the retainer fees for the contract employees in an Executive Session. They <br />discussed having an ordinance where a sum would be charged on a resident's tax duplicate if the <br />weeds on their property had to be cut by the Village; it is being referred to the Ordinance Review <br />Committee for further discussion. The Engineer and Law Director aze working on the preparation <br />of the street assessments. Mr. Flynn said the Finance Committee recommends approval of <br />Resolution 90-18. They recommend that Council go with the prescription and office visits with the <br />Community Preferred hospitalization plan for Village employees. It would be an 11% increase <br />over the prior year. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Ferrante said there was no report. <br />Historical Societv - Mrs. Cinco said the Arbor Day Ceremony will be held next Friday at 10 a.m. <br />and they will provide tours of the historical home. <br />Mrs. Mills said they have erected a flag pole; they will have the V.F.W. erect the first flag. <br />M.A.R.C. - Mr. Rinker said there was.no report. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mrs. Mills said they will be meeting the second Monday of each <br />month. <br />Planning & Zoning - Mr. Basile said they met Apri12. They considered a proposal for a lot split at <br />447 S.O.M. Center Road. Informarion will be presented for review at the next Workshop <br />meeting. Mr. Basile said the Commission rejected the parking proposal at Village Plaza 100%. <br />-- Recreation - Mr. Pietrafese said the Board has a fund balance of $12,614.62. <br />Mrs. Mills reported that the Easter Party went well; 178 rickets were sold. <br />Mr. Pietrafese said that Elliot Ross will check on alternate softball fields to use during Village <br />Days. Thirty-six percent of the people who signed up for the softball program were non-residents. <br />Their next meeting will be held this Wednesday. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Cinco said the Committee met Apri12. The Service Department is going <br />through the channels for requisitioning equipment. They discussed the performance bond for the <br />ambulance, the deparanent summary of ca11s on the computer, and the Police Department's request <br />for high-band radios. They asked Chief Stevens to look into the use of citations for use by the <br />Service and Fire Departments. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />HoWitalization - Mrs. Mills said the plan covers 9 single and 26 family policies. (See additional <br />information under Finance Committee report.) <br />Mayor Cannen said the hospitalization plan being proposed is equal to the plan we have now; we <br />are still offering our employees the richest plan available from Community Mutual. He said it is a <br />very good plan. Mayor Cannen said he thinks it would be appropriate for Council to adopt a <br />resolution to formalize the decision.
