so <br />Regular Council Meering <br />5/21/90 <br />Page 2 <br />Mr. Flynn suggested that Mr. Hovancsek contact the Park authoriries to set up a meeting on site <br />with the neighbors. The Park authorities could state what their position would be and what they <br />can or can not do and then we can take it from there. He asked that this item be kept on the agenda <br />until something is done. Mr. Flynn said that if the .Village is going to fund the project that they will <br />have to find funding for it. <br />Mr. Merkel said he does not think that all three parties have gotten together to find a solution. If a <br />retention basin would be put in, Mr. Merkel said that it would probably be on their property and <br />that he did not have a problem with that. It would behoove the park to work with us to find a <br />solurion or they will continue to have problems. <br />Mr. Hovancsek suggested he meet with Steve Cole at the Park Board to get him thinking about it <br />and after that have another meering with the residents. He said <br />that the program got underway May 7. We were told that if we would receive 50% participation <br />we would be doing well. During the first week of the program we had 95% participation. He said <br />it is really exciring to be doing this well. Mayor Carmen said he would like to thank everyone who <br />is putring Village Days together. We will have something for everyone this year. Village Days will <br />be held in two weeks. <br />CONIlVIENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT MILLS <br />Mrs. Mills had no comment. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Mr. Amendola reported that 85% of the bicycle grates are now in place. <br />Mr. Patrick said the the Village recently received a completed copy of the 1989 audit by the State. <br />He said he will have a report for Council shortly. <br />
