so Regular Council Meering 5/21/90 Page 2 Mr. Flynn suggested that Mr. Hovancsek contact the Park authoriries to set up a meeting on site with the neighbors. The Park authorities could state what their position would be and what they can or can not do and then we can take it from there. He asked that this item be kept on the agenda until something is done. Mr. Flynn said that if the .Village is going to fund the project that they will have to find funding for it. Mr. Merkel said he does not think that all three parties have gotten together to find a solution. If a retention basin would be put in, Mr. Merkel said that it would probably be on their property and that he did not have a problem with that. It would behoove the park to work with us to find a solurion or they will continue to have problems. Mr. Hovancsek suggested he meet with Steve Cole at the Park Board to get him thinking about it and after that have another meering with the residents. He said that if Mr. Merkel had a drawing or solution in mind that he would like to take it to his meering with Mr. Cole so the park representarive could look at it. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Morion Carried Minutes Approved CONIlVIENTS FROM MAYOR CARMEN Mayor Carmen thanked everyone for the phenomenal response to the recycling program. He said that the program got underway May 7. We were told that if we would receive 50% participation we would be doing well. During the first week of the program we had 95% participation. He said it is really exciring to be doing this well. Mayor Carmen said he would like to thank everyone who is putring Village Days together. We will have something for everyone this year. Village Days will be held in two weeks. CONIlVIENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT MILLS Mrs. Mills had no comment. DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS Mr. Amendola reported that 85% of the bicycle grates are now in place. Mr. Patrick said the the Village recently received a completed copy of the 1989 audit by the State. He said he will have a report for Council shortly.
