??23 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />7/16/90 <br />Page 8 <br />Mr. Pietrafese asked what he should report to the Recreation Boazd on Wednesday. <br />Mrs. Mills said that Council and Village officials still need to talk about drainage and a municipal <br />center. <br />Mr. Fixler said he felt it might be better than nothing at all; and better than waiting 2-3 years to light <br />the fields. <br />Mr. Pietrafese said that grass still needs to be planted on the fields. <br />Mrs. Mills said that we must wait until fall to plant grass. <br />Mr. Amendola said that he recommends work be done is this order: 1) drain tile, 2) lights, and <br />3) grass. <br />Mr. Fixler explained that the Recreation Board increased softball sponsor and player fees this year <br />and feel they are not giving them a first-rate season. Future plans need to be made. <br />IVlayor Carmen said he does not know the future. He said if they need to look at next yeaz now, it <br />might be a good idea for them to make arrangements to look at other fields.in this a!icinity_. _. . _...: .. <br />Mr. Pietrafese said there are no alternate fields. The only field, which is behind the Middle School, <br />is not playable. <br />--Diseussion was held about other options. <br />Mr. Pietrafese said he contacted Mr. Amendola three weeks ago regarding the fence. As of today, <br />it is not up. <br />Mrs. Cinco said it was installed. <br /> <br />Mayor Carmen said everyone must recognize that we are a litde town that is trying to do a lot. Rest <br />assured, he gives his word that the Wiley Park lighting is not being "back-bumered". It is a <br />priority but other things aze more important. <br />Landscaping Maintenance at Aintree North Pu= Station - Mr. Hovancsek said the County said <br />they will be hiring a professional landscape company to maintain the property on a weekly basis <br />like they would a lawn. They did not indicate that they will pay the Village for the maintenance <br />work done during the past couple of years. <br />Mayor Carmen said that the Village has been maintaining the property for the past two and a half <br />years and would like some type of reimbursement. He asked Mr. Hovancsek to contact them again <br />to find out what is happening. <br />Mr. Hovancsek suggested that the Law Director write the letter. <br />Fisher's Tavern - Mr. Ramos said the pre-trial was held July 10. He was instructed by Mayor <br />Carmen to talk to Judge Spellacy.
