<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />3/20/89 <br />Page 6 <br />Mr. Petschauer said that since this item was on the agenda he came <br />prepared to discuss it this evening. He said that he asked Dave <br />Hoehnen to be present. Mr. Petschauer said that Council received <br />correspondence from Mr. Ramos regarding the'formation of an ad hoc <br />committee. He said that he has asked Mr. Hoehnen to be a member of <br />that committee and that Mr. Hoehnen has accepted. He said he wanted to <br />go on record indicating that he will be a member of the ad hoc <br />committee. Mr. Petschauer said that he talked to Mr. Hoehnen about <br />getting an expert'in the field and that they recommend Charles Bromley <br />also be a member of the committee. <br />Mayor Carmen said that he thinks Mr. Hoehnen would be a good choice to <br />be a member of the committee but that it is up to the Council President <br />to make the appointments to the committee. <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-11, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT <br />WITH HAMILTON INSURANCE AGENCIES IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED THIRTEEN <br />THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FORTY DOLLARS ($13,540.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF <br />POLICE PROFESSIONAL LIABILITY INSUR.ANCE FOR MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, FOR <br />THE PERIOD COMMENCING MARCH 16, 1989 AND TERMINATING MARCH 16, 1990, <br />SUSPENDING THE COMPETITIVE BIDDING REQUIREMENT OF SECTION 123.02 OF THE <br />CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY.o" Introduced by Mayor Carmen and the Entire Council. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to enact Ordinance <br />No. 89-11. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-12, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE <br />APPROPRIATING FUNDS FOR CURRENT EXPENSES & EXPENDITURES OF MAYFIELD <br />VILLAGE, OHIO, FOR THE PERIOD FROM 01/01/89 AND ENDING 12/31/89, AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY."
