?? - <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />4/17/89 ' <br />Page 5 <br />Recreation - Mr. Petschauer said their next. meeting will be held this <br />Wednesday at 7:30 in the Community Room. <br />Safet_y and Service - Mrs. Mills said the committee discussed the service <br />road (which is on the agenda) at their last meeting. They also discussed <br />continuing education for the Police Department. The new fire engine may <br />be here in late September. <br />Mr. Amendola said that he talked to the two contractors who bid originally <br />and has tapered the requirements for the service road. He received two <br />informal bids to put the pad in and get started on the road. The Service <br />Department will complete the road. The bids were in the amounts of <br />$4,300 and $4,250. The informal bids he received for the asphalt work <br />were $3,250 and $6,825. <br />OLD BUSINESS <br />Aintree North <br />This was already discussed. <br />Civil Service Commission Appointment (Approval) Mrs. Mills, seconded by <br />Mr. Flynn, made a motion to confirm the Mayor's appointment of James Mason <br />to the Civil Service Commission. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />z Appointment Confirmed <br />Fisher's Tavern - Mr. Ramos said that he had spoken to Dale Feneli about <br />this case. The case is being referred to the Court of Common Pleas. He <br />said we don't know who the judge is. As soon as we find out, we will take <br />appropriate action at the direction of Council. The court costs being <br />assessed against Mayfield Village will be paid by Fisher's Tavern. <br />Burgess & Niple - Mr. Basile asked Mr. Patrick if the Village has the <br />monies to start on this sometime this year. <br />Mayor Carmen said we are in the process of completing the budget for 1989. <br />He said Council should have the budgets in hand by the next Caucus. He <br />said he is also looking at other ways to fund the drainage projects. He <br />asked Miss Heath to see if Burgess & Niple could attend the next Council <br />Caucus. <br />Cleaning Contract - Mayor Carmen <br />the present company which would <br />have perceived as a conflict of <br />process of talking about hiring <br />or are not Village employees, as <br />the problem. <br />said that we only received one bid from <br />not solve our dilemma that some people <br />interest. He said that we are in the <br />those individuals who are not related to <br />part-time employees which would resolve <br />Mr. Ramos said that a 109 bid bond was not posted. He said we will need a <br />motion from Council to reject all bids.
