97 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />6/19/89 <br />Page 3 <br />presentation about the agency and about the legislation that exists in <br />the Hillcrest community. ' <br />FINANCE - Mr. Flynn said the committee met this evening. The tax <br />budget for 1990 will be prepared for the July 17 meeting. A Public <br />Hearing will be scheduled before the meeting. The Committee recommends <br />the passage of the following resolutions: 89-34, 89-35, 89-36, 89-37, <br />and 89-38. They recommend that Carr Paving be given the bid for paving <br />the parking lots; ($3,999). The Committee discussed passage of <br />Ordinances 89-14 and 89-18. A motion must be made to amend Ordinance <br />No. 89-18. Mr. Flynn reported that all members of Council went over <br />the 1989 detailed budget thoroughly. He said they feel that it is a <br />good budget. They only found a couple of minor problems which the <br />Finance Director is correcting. Mr. Flynn said that Council has <br />received a letter from Mr. Hovancsek regarding the Krivanek property. <br />He asked Mr. Hovancsek to give them an estimate of financial <br />responsiblity. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Cinco said they are moving along. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said the committee did not meet <br />this month. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said they met on June 5. Two items <br />that wi11 be taken up at a workshop meeting are: the Paris proposal, <br />and a proposal from a.mail order company that wants to open on Beta <br />Drive. <br />Mr. Ramos said that he has received information that the United <br />Consumers Club is voluntarily withdrawing their application and will be <br />going to another city in the Hillcrest area. <br />Recreation - Mr. Petschauer said their next meeting will be held <br />Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. <br />Mr. Basile asked if Mr. Petschauer has been attending the Recreation <br />Board meetings and said that he should have a report. <br />Mr. Petschauer said that he has been attending meetings but has no <br />report at this time. <br />Safety and Service - Mrs. Mills asked if we had received bids on the <br />turnout gear. <br />Chief Mohr reported that the bids will be opened Thursday. <br />Mrs. Mills said that Chief Mohr has advised us that the new pumper Wi1i <br />be here on October 10. A decision should be made regarding what to do <br />with the old pumper. This item will be taken up at the next Caucus. <br />Mrs. Mills said that legislation was prepared for propane refills and <br />lock boxes. They are considering legislation regarding pornographic <br />stores which they will be looking into a little further.
