l <br />ti ? <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />6/19/89 <br />Page 5 <br />Gazebo - Mayor Carmen said that now that the budget will be approved <br />we can do some work on the gazebo. <br />Mr. Basile asked how much we have spent so far. <br />Mr. Amendola said that $13,000 was spent on the base of the gazebo. <br />He said that some building materials are stored at the Service Building <br />that are painted and ready to go (approximately $9,000.) <br />Mr. Basile asked how much more money is needed to complete the gazebo. <br />Mr. Amendola said $45,000. <br />Mr. Basile said that there is $20,000 in the budget. <br />Mrs. Mills said she thinks this should be discussed at the next Caucus <br />and that total cost figures are needed. <br />Mr. Patrick said that he will have a report ready for the Caucus. <br />A final cost estimate from Mr. Amendola is needed for the Caucus also. <br />Assistant Service Director - Mayor Carmen said that the Civil Service <br />Commission is in the process of setting up a test for that position. <br />6678 Wilson Mills Road (Condition of Bldg.) - Mr. Basile asked Mr. <br />Amendola if he has looked at the house. <br />Mr. Amendola said that he talked to Betty Stark and that she has been <br />in contact with the tenant. He explained that according to Mrs. <br />Stark's agreement with the tenant, the tenant is responsible for part <br />of the painting of the home in addition to their rent. Mr. Amendola <br />said that he told her that a decision must be made this week or he <br />would have to notify Fred Ramos or Vince Feudo. <br />Mr. Flynn said that some cities send letters out that say people are <br />required to be in the Prosecutor's office if they do not comply. He <br />said that this has been discussed the last couple of years and they <br />have not seen any citations nor have they heard of any court cases. He <br />said that he would like to see a hard procedure followed and said that <br />Council must receive copies of citations so they actually know they are <br />issued. , <br />Mr. Amendola asked who the citation should be issued to. <br />Mayor Carmen said that the citation should be issued to the owner of <br />the property; it is their responsibility. Mayor Carmen said that he <br />and Mr. Amendola had talked about citations last week. He explained <br />that he and Mr. Amendola like to resolve things amicably when possible. <br />He said they they discussed re-instituting the 2-letter procedure that <br />was followed a couple of years ago and that changes will be made.
