<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />6/19/89 <br />Page 6 <br />Pesticide Ordinance - Mr. Basile said that he has received phone calls <br />from the Sierra Club regarding the pesticide ordinance and that Mr. <br />Ramos has also a call from them. <br />Music at Fisher's Tavern - Mr. Basile said that he received a letter <br />from Mrs. Smakula regarding loud music being played after 11 p.m. on <br />Wednesday at Fisher's Tavern. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Ramos to check our ordinances to see if it <br />specifically states outdoor music must cease at 11 p.m. He said that <br />he would like something on the books if it is not already there so that <br />it could be enforced. He also asked that the police department, as a <br />matter of routine, send an officer there at 11 p.m. to see that the <br />music is stopped if it hasn't stopped already. <br />Chief Stevens said he liked her suggestion that the speakers be <br />relocated to face another direction. <br />Mayor Carmen said he didn't mind that either. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Mr. Ramos to prepare an amendment to our ordinance <br />if it isn't specific enough. <br />Second Reading of Ordinance No. 89-18, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING <br />SECTION 1(A) (4) (H) OF ORDINANCE N0. 89-13 PERTAINING TO WAGES, <br />BENEFITS AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR EMPLOYEES OF <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, SO AS TO RE-ESTABLISH THE CLASSIFICATION AND <br />COMPENSATION FOR CUSTODIAN WITHIN THE BUILDING AND SERVICE DEPARTMENT, <br />REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY." Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Wholeo (First <br />Reading 5/15/89, amended 6/15/89.) <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to amend Ordinance No. <br />89-18. <br />Roll Call: AYESo Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Amended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. <br />89-18. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />- Ordinance Enacted
