ij C-o <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />7/17/89 <br />Page 14 <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mr. Flynn, made a motion to adopt Resolution <br />No. 89-45. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />CLOSING COMMENTS <br />Mrs. Mills gave the Safety and Service report as follows: Discussion <br />was held at their last meeting regarding the repair of the Service <br />building roof and the replacement of the roof of the police garage. <br />Mayor Carmen said that he has approved purchase orders for these <br />expenditures which are under $2,500. <br />Mr. Amendola will obtain bids for the PA system. <br />Chief Mohr has received the new pagers. <br />Mr. Amendola said if any members of Council want to walk the ditch at <br />North Aintree that he will be available at 6 p.m. on Thursday or Friday <br />or at 7 a.m. on Wednesday. <br />Council agreed to contact Mr. Amendola after the meeting to make <br />arrangements. <br />Mr. Flynn asked Mr. Hovancsek to contact Burgess & Niple to get more <br />information about the whole package. <br />Mayor Carmen said that he met with Bob Bright but Mr. Hovnacsek could <br />contact him as well. <br />Mr. Hovancsek reported that a pre-construction meeting Wiii be held <br />on Thursday with C.I.R. this Thursday at 9 a.m. <br />Mayor Carmen asked Donna to contact the Civil Service Commission to see <br />if a date has been set for the police lieutenant test. <br />Chief Mohr thanked Council for passing the legislation for the tutn-out <br />gear. <br />Mr. Ramos said that Julius Paris had called him about the improvement <br />on SOM and asked that this item be put on the Caucus agenda for <br />Council`s consideration.
