<br />? <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />7/17/89 <br />Page 3 <br />individuals that cost the residents of the Village almost $5,000 in <br />legal fees to hire counsel to defend him. <br />COMMENTS FROM COUNCIL PRESIDENT BASILE <br />Mr. Basile said that he has been hearing alot of rumors during the past <br />couple weeks that he is in favor of apartments. He said that he is not <br />in favor of aparments, he feels that we do not need anymore apartments; <br />we have plenty. <br />DEPARTMENT HEAD REPORTS <br />Chief Mohr reported that they have completed their hydrant <br />flushing program for this summer. <br />Mr. Patrick said that the tax budget meeting was held earlier this <br />evening per Ohio Revised Code requirements. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />Architectural Review Board - Mr. Amendola said that the Board approved <br />2 additional new single-famiy homes, 2 decks, and an accessory buiding <br />at their last meeting. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. Amendola said there was no requirement for a <br />meeting. <br />Cemetery - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Commission on Aging - Mrs. Mills said there was no report. <br />Fair Housing Committee - Mr. Petschauer said the committee met June 21 <br />at 7:30 p.m. Mr. William Dunn, an attorney representing the Cuyahoga <br />Plan made a presentation relative to his organization and the existing <br />legislation that is in effect in the greater Hillcrest and Cleveland <br />area. The next meeting Wiii be held on July 20 at 7:30 p.m. He said <br />he would like to encourage all to attend. Mr. Petschauer said that <br />hopefully at the conculsion of the meeting we will have a draft of the <br />ordinance which we hope to present to Council in August. <br />Finance - Mr. Flynn said he would like to amend the agenda to include <br />Ordinance No. 89-28 and Resolution No. 89-45. Mr. Basile seconded the <br />motion. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Agenda Amended <br />Mr. Flynn said that the committee met this evening and recommends <br />passage of Ordinance No. 89-28 and Resolution No. 89-45. They <br />discussed a new municipal complex which is under a preliminary study <br />and he would like to keep this item on the agenda. They recommend <br />passage of the following legislation: Resolution No. 89-40, 89-41, and <br />Ordinance No. 89-22.
