<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />7/17/89 <br />Page 4 <br />Mr. Patrick reported that the Village has be en rolling over notes to <br />pay for the construction of Wilson Mills Road and the final cost <br />figures are not in yet. He said the project involves three <br />communities. We will not have final figures as to the cost of the water <br />line until the project is completed. <br />Mr. Flynn said that the committee does not have the cost figures for <br />the Timberline culvert work and requested that the cost figures be <br />obtained. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said that it will be done this week. <br />Mr. Flynn said the committee also recommends suspension of the rules <br />passage of Resolutions 89-35 and 89-36. <br />Mr. Flynn said that regarding Burgess and Niple, they are waiting for <br />some additional information from Mr. Hovancsek. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said he will write a letter this week. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mrs. Cinco said there was no report. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Cinco said that she would like to <br />congratulate them on their pencil drive. To date they have raised <br />$6,946 and are still collecting money. A new furnace has been - <br />installed. Plumbing is about 90% complete. Seeding of the grounds <br />will be done during September along with scraping, painting, caulking, <br />and glazing. Plans are underway to obtain the original layout of the <br />house to guide us in the arrangement of the rooms as they were. The <br />expenditures on phase two to date are $57,656. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Basile said they did not meet this <br />month. <br />PlanninQ and ZoninQ - Mr. Basile said they met July 3. They recommend <br />approval of the five ordinances Council referred to them (Ordinances: <br />89-23, 89-24, 89-25, 89-26, 89-27.) <br />Recreation - Mr. Petschauer said that softball is doing well. The <br />banquet will be held August 16. They have received many favorable <br />comments about the summer playground program. Over 35 softball <br />registration is now going on. They have four new members to the <br />Recreation Board: Greg Cira, Barb Monroe, Blase Pietrafese, and Julie <br />Voss. Mr. Petschauer asked Mayor Carmen to consider storage space for <br />the Board. He said the landscape architect was going to look into a <br />children's playground but they haven't been able to conntact him. <br />Mayor Carmen said he would look into storage space and if we cannot <br />reach the landscape architect or his replacement in a reasonable <br />amount of time we will have to find a back-up architect.
