<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />8/21/89 <br />Page 19 <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-35, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE <br />SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORATE OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, A PROPOSED <br />AMENDMENT TO THE CHARTER OF THE VILLAG.E ALLOWING ADDITIONAL <br />COMPENSATION FOR THE PRESIDENT OF COUNCIL, PROVIDING FOR ALL NECESSARY <br />PROCEDURES IN CONNECTION HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council members Basile, Cinco, Flynn, <br />Mills, Rinker, and Santoro. <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. <br />89-35. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Ordinance No. 89-36, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE <br />INCREASING THE COMPENSATION OF THE MAYOR, SUBMITTING TO THE ELECTORATE <br />FOR APPROVAL, PROVIDING FOR ALL NECESSARY PROCEDURES IN CONNECTION <br />THEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." He <br />explained that the previous motion authorizing the expenditure was for <br />a lesser amount because it did not include the freight and handling <br />charges. <br />Mr. Santoro, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to approve the <br />expenditure of $2,822 for traffic tickets.
