<br />Regular Council Meeting <br />10/16/89 <br />Page 8 <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mrs. Mills, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring an ordinance to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />_ NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Santoro, seconded by Mrs. Mills; made a motion to enact Ordinance <br />No. 89-43. <br />Mr. Patrick explained why the legislation was necessary. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 89-69, entitled; "A RESOLUTION <br />AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO MAKE PAYMENT TO PIERCE <br />MANUFACTURING, INC. IN THE AMOUNT OF ONE HUNDRED THREE THOUSAND NINE <br />HUNDRED NINETY DOLLARS AND SIXTY-TWO CENTS ($103.990.62) FOR THE <br />PAYMENT OF THE BALANCE ON THE CONTRACT FOR THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) <br />TRIPLE COMBINATION PUMPING APPARATUS AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." <br />Introduced by Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole. ' <br />Mrs. Mills, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Callc AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Santoro, made a motion to adopt Resolution <br />No. 89-69. <br />Mr. Patrick recommended that the truck be purchased outright rather <br />than being financed. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />First Reading of Resolution No. 89-70, entitled; "A RESOLUTION <br />DECLARING HOLCOMB'S TO BE THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE DESKTOP <br />PUBLISHING COMPUTER EQUIPMENT, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND PRESIDENT OF <br />COUNCIL TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH SAID BIDDER IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO <br />EXCEED SEVEN THOUSAND SIX HUNDRED SIXTY-EIGHT DOLLARS AND SIXTY CENTS <br />($7,668.60) AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY."
