<br />Special Council Meeting <br />10/24/89 <br />Page 2 ' <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to suspend the rules <br />of Council requiring a resolution to be read on three separate <br />occasions. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Al1 <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mr. Santoro, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to adopt Resolution <br />No. 89-71. <br />Mrs. Mills, asked when the letters would be sent to residents. <br />Mayor Carmen said tomorrow. <br />Mayor Carmen said, regarding the determination for handicapped <br />residents if they think they have a handicap and can show evidence, we <br />Wiii take their word for it. He will be the final arbitrator. <br />Mrs. Mills asked if the contractor Wiii be able to include other <br />residents (that are not 60) that ask about the program. <br />Mayor Carmen said we must check with the contractor. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Resolution Adopted <br />Mr. Amendola asked if Donna would notify the other contractors who got <br />the contract. <br />Mayor Carmen said that Donna would. <br />Mr. Basile said that legislation is not necessary for the maintenance <br />contract for the E911 equipment. The contract will run through <br />December 31, 1989, and we will begin another contract January lst, <br />1990. The cost for the 1989 portion of the contract is $1006.66; <br />therefore, legislation is not required. <br />Ordinance No. 89-31, entitled; "AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS <br />1(A)(2)(f) AND 1(a)(2)(g) OF ORDINANCE N0. 89-10 PERTAINING TO WAGES, <br />BENEFITS AND OTHER TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT FOR EMPLOYEES OF <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO SO AS TO PROVIDE FOR COMPENSATION FOR THE POLICE <br />SECRETARY AND RADIO DISPATCHERS REPEALING ALL ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT <br />HEREWITH AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY." Introduced by Members of <br />Council. (First Reading 8/21/89, Second Reading 9/18/89, Third Reading <br />and enacted 10/16/89, vetoed by Mayor Carmen 10/18/89.) <br />Mr. Basile, seconded by Mr. Rinker, made a motion to table Ordinance <br />No. 89-31. <br />Mrs. Mills suggested the ordinance be put on the next Caucus agenda for <br />further discussion.
