71 <br />Regulaz Council Meeting <br />5/18/92 <br />Page Five <br />Mr. Fixler questioned the open burning that took place for a four day period at the Whitehaven <br />Cemetery. He received numerous complaints and asked what the Fire Department's procedure is <br />on open burning? <br />Chief 1Viohr stated that the Fire Department should be called and they will give first offenders a <br />warning. A second call is a citation. <br />Chief Stevens: None at this time. <br />STANDING COMMITTEE REPORTS: <br />Architectural Review Board: Mr. Amendola reported a deck and pool were approved at the <br />last meeting. Board of Appeals: Mr. Amendola stated that no meeting was required. <br />Cemetery: Mr. Busa - No meeting was held. <br />Citizen's Advisory Committee: Mr. Fixler reported on the meeting held Apri127, 1992. He <br />thanked Mr. Busa for filling in for him. <br />1. A garage was broken into last summer and discovered much later. The Police were then <br />called. However, no report was made and the resident had a problem with their insurance <br />because of this. <br />2. A complaint was made a week ago about a possum on a roof on a Berkley Squaze gazage. <br />Police did not respond. The animal warden was called, but did not come out. Instead, the <br />animal warden called and said the landlord should cut the tree down. This is an incident <br />that should be looked into. <br />3. Thanks to Lt. Jay for the traffic report submitted with regazd to traffic signalization. <br />Discussion was held on the time and/or if the frequency should be changed. <br />Commission on Aging: Mr. Busa had no report at this time. <br />Mrs. Cinco stated their Anniversary Dinner was held on Saturday. Mrs. Mills was present and <br />reported they had a group of about 50 people. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils: Mr. Fenante stated there was no report at this time. <br />Finance: Mr. Flynn reported they are recommending approval of the following: <br />A new fire vehicle from Horton Emergency Corporation at a cost of $70,337.00. Cost is shared <br />by Gates Mills and the Village's share is $35,168.50. <br />A breathing air compressor from NORCO Company for the Fire Department - Ordinance 92-16. <br />Eight vehicle radios for the Fire Department and five portables for the Service Department at <br />$600.00 each.
