Service Departrnent: One-ton truck - Rejection of Bids - Mr. Amendola said he feels they should go for the 1-1/2 ton truck that is available now. It will cost a little more than a one-ton truck but would have the capability of replacing one of the 2-1/2 ton trucks. The 1-1/2 ton truck has a loading capacity for salt Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to reject the bids received for the one-ton truck. ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fenante, Mr. Fixler, Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Rinker NAYS: None Motion Canied Bids Rejected Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to authorize the advertisement of bids for one 1-1/2 ton truck. ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fenante, Mr. Fixler, Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Rinker NAYS: None Motion Carried Authorization Gtven Snow Removal Mayor Pietrafese said he would like to have this re-advertised with Council's permission. Discussion was held. Mr. Diemert said if there is one section that no one bid on and the other companies bid the same amount, and one individual did not post a bond, (if you took him away because he had no bond there would be nobody else there) we can modify his bid; he may still submit the bond. But, if there was another bidder on the same section, we could not. Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion that an informal bid for snow removal be obtained for the third section. ROLL CALL: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Authorizarion Given Council agreed to hold off on the snow removal bids received and handle it in a couple of weeks at the Caucus (possibly Special Meering.) Mr. Amendola said maybe the two bidders would agreed to split the third section.
