I-7 b,? <br />-sea, <br />Regulaz Council Meeting <br />10/19/92 <br />Page Seven <br />Engineer's Updates: <br />Mr. Rinker said these items have already been addressed. <br />Service Departrnent: <br />One-ton truck - Rejection of Bids - <br />Mr. Amendola said he feels they should go for the 1-1/2 ton truck that is available now. It will <br />cost a little more than a one-ton truck but would have the capability of replacing one of the 2-1/2 <br />ton trucks. The 1-1/2 ton truck has a loading capacity for salt <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Fixler, made a motion to reject the bids received for the one-ton <br />truck. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fenante, Mr. Fixler, Mr. Flynn, <br />and Mr. Rinker <br />NAYS: None Motion Canied <br />Bids Rejected <br />Mr. Flynn, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion to authorize the advertisement of bids for one <br />1-1/2 ton truck. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa, Mrs. Cinco, Mr. Fenante, Mr. Fixler, Mr. Flynn, <br />and Mr. Rinker <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Authorization Gtven <br />Snow Removal <br />Mayor Pietrafese said he would like to have this re-advertised with Council's permission. <br />Discussion was held. <br />Mr. Diemert said if there is one section that no one bid on and the other companies bid the same <br />amount, and one individual did not post a bond, (if you took him away because he had no bond <br />there would be nobody else there) we can modify his bid; he may still submit the bond. But, if <br />there was another bidder on the same section, we could not. <br />Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Mr. Basile, made a motion that an informal bid for snow removal be <br />obtained for the third section. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Authorizarion Given <br />Council agreed to hold off on the snow removal bids received and handle it in a couple of weeks at <br />the Caucus (possibly Special Meering.) <br />Mr. Amendola said maybe the two bidders would agreed to split the third section.
