178
Regulaz Council Meeting
10/19/92
Page Ten
eneral•
Amendment of Fee Schedule - Ordinance No. 92-36 - Mr. Amendola said they are still working on
that.
Ordinance Review Aizenda - Discussion
Mr. Fixler suggested the code require builders to do landscaping (not just the residents) within two
growing seasons.
Mr. Femante said he would like to see the fines increased relative to handicapped parking. He said
he thinks this item was brought up before but nothing has been done. Mr. Basile suggested the pesticide ordinance.
Mr. Rinker said at Ordinance Review, they should be looking at the existing language--existing
version of the legislation and consider to what extent they need to make changes. Mr. Rinker
suggested the pesticide ordinance be discussed at Caucus since only an hour is allotted to
Ordinance Review (and since it is a question of enforcement).
Mr. Diemert recommended the "master plan" ordinance that he sent out a month or so ago be
included on the agenda. He said it does not have a number, it was not introduced--it's the one that
incorporated Hill's report in reference to the northeast quadrant. :
Use of Don Rav Facility (500 S.O.M. Center Road)
Mr. Panzica said he does not know what is going on, what will happen now. He will know better
after he hears what happens tonight.
Mr. Rinker said the primary question from Council's standpoint was the extent of whatever lease
arrangement--they were concerned about certain condirions being put on there. He does not expect
to have "truck police" but they were conditions they felt made sense, and if there were clear abuses
it gives them the opportunity to regulate--they aze not looking to dictate.
Mr. Basile said if Mr. Panzica was using the facility as a wazehouse it would be in violation, of the
code.
Discussion was held.
Mr. Diemert said in lieu of the option to terminate each yeaz, it may be more agreeable to give 30
days notice.
Mr. Rinker clarified that all conditions made previously aze to be met and that the variance being
considered is for three years. They are considering approval under the terms and conditions of Joe
Diemert's letter of September 28 along with the Fire Chief s memo (items to be taken care of.) He
said they are looking to a three-year special use pernut or variance.
