183 <br />MIlVUTES OF A SPECIAL MEETING OF COUNCII. <br />Mayfield Village <br />November 2, 1992 <br />The Council of Mayf'ield Village met in Special Session on Monday, November 2, 1992, at <br />8 o'clock p.m. in the Council Chambers at the Village Hall. Council President Bruce Rinker <br />presided. <br />ROLL CALL: Present: Mr. Basile, Mr. Busa,lVlrs. Cinco, Mr. Ferrante, Mr. Fixler, <br />Mr. Flynn, and Mr. Rinker <br />Absent: None <br />Also Present: Mayor Pietrafese, Mr. Diemert, Mr. Hovancsek, Chief Mohr, <br />Mr. Toth, Miss Heath <br />Mr. Rinker said the primary purpose of this meeting was to address the ordinance for snow <br />plowing. He said they have tried to follow up on a plan suggested a couple of yeazs ago--dividing <br />the Village into sections. They received bids for two out of three sections bid. <br />Mr. Rinker asked that they have a motion to go into Executive Session to discuss quesrions about <br />real estate, then they will get into the Caucus. <br />Ordinance No. 92-41, entitled; "An emergency ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into <br />agreements for snow removal from the driveways of senior citizens in the Village of Mayfield <br />during the 1992-1993 winter season." Introduced by Mayor Pietrafese and Council as a Whole. <br />Mrs. Cinco, seconded by Mr. Ferrante, made a motion to suspend the rules of Council requiring <br />an ordinance to be read on three separate occasions. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Rules Suspended <br />Mayor Pietrafese said they requested bids for the third snow removal section but no bids were <br />received. He said he talked to the two contractors and they have agreed to split the third section. <br />Both companies own four vehicles and they have agreed to start at the same time. Mayor <br />Pietrafese said he is convinced they will do a good job for us. With Council's approval, letters <br />will go out tomorrow. He said they are more rigid with qualificarions this year. <br />ROLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />Mr. Basile asked if there was a third car being retired. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said the third car was assigned to the Mayor and administrarive staff. <br />Mr. Basile said he has heard negarive comments on that. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said he has heard positive and negative comments.
