Fixler said they may want to talk to the contractor about waiting for the spring to get the job <br />done properly rather than doing it now (when they may be stuck with cracks from the weather.) <br />Mr. Hovancsek said the only consideration is whether Gus can work with the leaves back in that <br />area until spring. <br />Mr. Diemert read the tide of the emergency legislation awarding a contract without the necessity of <br />bidding based on an emergency to King Excavating. <br />Ordinance No. 92-43, entitled; "An ordinance authorizing the Mayor to enter into a contract with <br />King Excavating, Inc. without the necessity of advertisement and formal bidding for an amount not <br />to exceed eleven thousand eight hundred sixty-five dollars ($11,865.00). If it cracks, they will <br />replace it. <br />Mr. Flynn asked it they could use unibody netting like they do on streets on a project like this and <br />if it was in the specif'ications now. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said it is not in the specifications. The material is $1 per square yard (there are <br />20,000 squaze feet.) <br />Mr. Flynn asked if it would be worth the investment. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said it would be a help. <br />Mr. Rinker asked Mr. Hovancsek to give them a recommendation--do they need it or not. <br />Mr. Hovancsek said it would be very helpful but it is not absolutely necessary. <br />1ZOLL CALL: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Ordinance Enacted <br />
