198 <br />Regular Council Meeting <br />11/16/92 <br />Page Six <br />F'inance - Mr. Elynn said they discussed the following: . <br />1) Bids for compost site <br />2) Appointment of Finance Director <br />3) The 1 1/2 ton truck; they would like to hold off for further inforrnarion from Gus. <br />4) Prosecutor's billing statements; they would like a little bit more regular report-- <br />possibly bimonthly or whatever he feels comfortable with <br />5) Resolution No. 92-42; committee recommends passage this evening <br />6) Rates.of taxation for 1991. The rate for Mayfield Village is $81.40 per thousand <br />but the effective rate comes down to $44 per thousand for residential and $56 per <br />thousand at this particular time. <br />7) Repair of the John Deere loader not to exceed $2,500; they recommend moving <br />ahead. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils - Mr. Fenante said there is a meeting on November 21 at <br />Landerhaven. Anyone on Council is welcome to attend. <br />Historical Society - Mrs. Cinco said renovation work is continuing on the house. The annual <br />Turkey Raffle will be held this Saturday, November 21, at 7:30 p.m. at the Community Room. <br />They invite all to attend. <br /> <br />M.A.R.C. - Mrs. Cinco said M.A.R.C. met October lst. They went over the details of the art <br />show and making some arrangements for next year. She will have these minutes for ponna to <br />copy. <br />Ordinance Review - There was no report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Basile said they met November 2. Mr. Brad Squires came in for a <br />variance for a fitness center at 761 Beta Drive. The Commission does not recommend to Council <br />that they consider this request. The Master Plan was discussed and a motion was carried to <br />recommend to Council to pass this plan. The Progressive Insurance border landscaping was also <br />approved. He does not think there will be a workshop meering. Mr. Basile said he understands <br />Mr. Schulte was in the hospital. <br />Mayor Pietrafese said he went to see Mr. Schulte the next day and he is recovering. Mayor <br />Pietrafese said Mr. Schulte complimented our Fire Department. <br />Recreation - Mr. Fixler said they met October 21. The Halloween Party was a tremendous <br />success. Approximately 150 children attended. The Craft Show that is being held Thanksgiving <br />weekend on Saturday has been sold out. They aze expecting a good turn out for that. It was <br />reported that Villagers will not be allowed to use the Highland Heights pool this year. They will <br />ask the Mayor if he will follow up with the Mayor of Highland Heights to see if somehow they can <br />loosen up and allow some Villagers. T'he calendar for 1993 has been set (which everyone will be <br />receiving a copy of.) The playground equipment, because of the delay Elliot had written a letter to <br />Jennings and they sent a letter back to us apologizing and decided to donate a$300 piece of <br />equipment. <br />Mayor Pietrafese reported that the playground is fenced in and a new back stop is in.
