In essence, the County will be the middle people
handling all the paper work, we just have to supply the answers.
They may require cost estimates or bid prices. This is a three
year contract but the Village can cancel if and when we don't get
the cooperation_we expect or any money. This ordinance must be
passed now if Council wishes, in order to•be filed with HUD by
October 1, 1981. At that time, the Village should receive some
money. This group is getting monies for everyone else and should
be able to do something for the Village.
Mayor Beebe commented we should expect to receive anywhere from
$15,000 to $25,000 or 50/ of our cost on the Community Building.
Mr. Feneli stated that according to Mr. Ross, who did most of the
talking, with our population and income we should get at least
$15,000.00.
Mr. Bennett asked if an appointment should be made to the Advisory
Board as indicated in the ordinance? It is optional.
Mr. Flynn suggested a representative come out to answer any questions.
Mr. Feneli commented the representatives are more than happy to
explain to the residents where the funds are to be distributed.
