A71 ,?a <br />Mr. Amendola stated that he had talked.to.the owners son who had <br />advised him the building would be removed on a Suriday, but because <br />of the rain he has not yet been able to do so. Mr. Amendola stated <br />the building is now empty and that he will make sure the matter is <br />taken care of. Mayor Beebe confirmed action would be taken on the <br />matter. <br />CONSIDERATION OF MINUTES <br />Special Meeting of CounciT = Septerritier 14, 1981.- Mr. Flynri stated <br />that on page two, the consideration of the minutes of August 17th <br />correction should read STudge, not'STedge. There being no further <br />corrections, Mr. Flynn stated the minutes will stand as corrected. <br />MAYOR'S COMMENTS <br />1VTayor Beebe stated that Sue Mohr, the wife of full time firefighter <br />Dave Mohr, was in a serious automobile accident last Thursday. He <br />stated she is still unconscious and in critical condition. <br />Mayor Beebe stated that he had received a letter from the City of <br />Cleveland regarding a new Water Service Agreement. He quoted from <br />the letter, "please consider this letter as.notice that all prior <br />agreements between us relating to water services are hereby <br />cancelled in accordance with the terms thereof." Mayor Beebe gave <br />the letter to Mr. Feneli for review along with a brochure. He <br />also gave Mr. Flynn a brochure. <br />Mayor Beebe stated an "Official Notice" will be sent to all residents <br />of Mayfield Village which recaps the ordinances covering the <br />changes to the charter that will appear on.the November ballot. <br />He explained that it is a legal requirement that we inform all <br />registered voters of the Village, either by publication in a local <br />newspaper or by a separate mailing. He stated that based on the <br />advice of the Law Director the decision was made that a mailing be <br />made to all residents. He stated another legal requirement is that <br />the letter be mailed 30 days prior to the election, which would be <br />October 3rd. <br />COUNCIL PRESIDENT'S COMMENTS <br />Mr. Flynn stated that there will be an Executive Session following <br />this meeting. He stated the meeting will adjourn after the Executive <br />Session, therefore, there would be no need for the Department Heads <br />or news media to stay. <br />Mr. Flynn stated that Council would like to express their interest, <br />appreciation and thanks to the Community Room Committee for their <br />hard work.
