.-- <br />llsayor Beebe stated that on Saturday several volunteers, including <br />Frar.k Hanus, Mr. Harris and Mr. ScYlulz, helped Mr. Amendola work <br />on the ioundation of the Salt Shed. He expressed appreciation to <br />the volunteers and Mr. Amendola for their efforts, which saved <br />considerable money. <br />Mrs. Hanus stated the majority of the group present tonight helped <br />earn approximately $8,524.00 in less -than a year, towaras the project. <br />Mrs. Ruggles reported on the seminar she attencled conducted by the <br />Bureau of Inspection concerning the changes in the present accounting <br />system for the State of Ohio. She explained the present accounting <br />system must be replaced by a new concept prescribed by the National <br />Council on Governmental Accounting. She stated the standaraizing of <br />financial accounting was iniated in 1979 and that the new system must <br />be implemented by all cities and villages in the State of Ohio by <br />January of 1982. She stated she will be reviewing equiprnent in the <br />next week or so and will make a report for Council as to trie cost <br />involved. She.stated at least 90 days is required for installation. <br />STANDARD COMMTTTEE REPORTS <br />ArchitecturaT Review Board - Mr. Amendola state.d that the Architectural <br />Review Board held three meetings. He stated the drawings for the <br />Fire Department roof were approved. He stated bids will be placed <br />September 17 and 24, which are due October 3rd. Mr. Amendola stated <br />approval was given for the Community Building foundations and elevations <br />so the work could be started. He stated the Brau Supply Company <br />proposal was reviewed by the Village architec-t and the Building Depart- <br />ment for compliance with the State Code, and the drawings were returned <br />to them to make the necessary corrections. <br />Board of Appeals - Mr. 9nlendola stated there was no need for a Board <br />of Appeals Meetirig this month. <br />1 <br />Cemetery - Since Miss Trask was not present there was no report. <br />Council of Councils - b4rs. Hanus stated the Council of Councils will <br />be resuming their fall schedule starting with Wednesday, September <br />23. Mr. Busa agreed to attend that meeting as Mrs. Hanus will be <br />out of town. <br />Finance - Mr. Busa stated he had no.report as Mrs. Ruggles has given <br />a complete report. <br />Planning and Zoning - Mr. Busa stated he had no report as he was out <br />of town, and asked IvIr. Amendola to report. <br />
