.-- llsayor Beebe stated that on Saturday several volunteers, including Frar.k Hanus, Mr. Harris and Mr. ScYlulz, helped Mr. Amendola work on the ioundation of the Salt Shed. He expressed appreciation to the volunteers and Mr. Amendola for their efforts, which saved considerable money. Mrs. Hanus stated the majority of the group present tonight helped earn approximately $8,524.00 in less -than a year, towaras the project. Mrs. Ruggles reported on the seminar she attencled conducted by the Bureau of Inspection concerning the changes in the present accounting system for the State of Ohio. She explained the present accounting system must be replaced by a new concept prescribed by the National Council on Governmental Accounting. She stated the standaraizing of financial accounting was iniated in 1979 and that the new system must be implemented by all cities and villages in the State of Ohio by January of 1982. She stated she will be reviewing equiprnent in the next week or so and will make a report for Council as to trie cost involved. She.stated at least 90 days is required for installation. STANDARD COMMTTTEE REPORTS ArchitecturaT Review Board - Mr. Amendola state.d that the Architectural Review Board held three meetings. He stated the drawings for the Fire Department roof were approved. He stated bids will be placed September 17 and 24, which are due October 3rd. Mr. Amendola stated approval was given for the Community Building foundations and elevations so the work could be started. He stated the Brau Supply Company proposal was reviewed by the Village architec-t and the Building Depart- ment for compliance with the State Code, and the drawings were returned to them to make the necessary corrections. Board of Appeals - Mr. 9nlendola stated there was no need for a Board of Appeals Meetirig this month. 1 Cemetery - Since Miss Trask was not present there was no report. Council of Councils - b4rs. Hanus stated the Council of Councils will be resuming their fall schedule starting with Wednesday, September 23. Mr. Busa agreed to attend that meeting as Mrs. Hanus will be out of town. Finance - Mr. Busa stated he had no.report as Mrs. Ruggles has given a complete report. Planning and Zoning - Mr. Busa stated he had no report as he was out of town, and asked IvIr. Amendola to report.
