Reguiar Council Meeting 7-9-97 Page 5 Executive Session - Mr. Ferrante, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to go into Executive ? Session to discuss personnel ma.tters. Roll Call: AYES: AlI NAYS: None Motion Carried Council went into-Executive Session at 9:30 p.m. Council reconvened at 9:55 p.m. Kenmore Asphalt -$5,000 - Mr. Marquardt, seconded by Mr. Buckholtz, made a motion to authorize an expenditure to Kenmore Asphalt in the amount of $5,000 for the purchase of asphalt. Roll Call: AYES: All NAYS: None Motion Carried Expenditure Authorized Third Reading of Ordinance No. 97-23, (amended) entitled; "An emergency ordinance pertaining ta the wages, benefits and other terms and conditions of employment for the employees of Mayfield Village, Ohio for the calendar years 1997 - 1999, repealing all ordinances inconsistent herewith." (First Reading 5/19/97; Second Reading 6/16/97) Introcluced by Mayor Rinker and , Council as a Whole. Mr. Diemert said a motion to amend is needed. Mr. Busa, seconded by Mr. Marquardt, made a motion to enact Ordinance No. 97-23 as amended. Council President FiaLler asked if there was any discussion. Mrs. Cinco said she had written a memo to Council I'resident Fixler and Council asking for the communication they have had with other departments. 5ince several members of the Fire Department are in the audience, she asked if they have had any communication with them. Council President Fixler said he is surprised she is bringing this up now because we have had this ordinance for quite some time. Everyone in a11 departments received copies. If anyone had any questions, they were free to contact Mr. Marquardt, Mr. Brett or himself. Lt. Girbino said they ha.ve not received a reply to their memos. Lt. Neyman said they have not talked to Finance Committee about anything. They would have been pleased to discuss this with tfiem.
