Regular Council Meeting <br />12-8-97 <br />Page 5 <br />Mr. Russo had one site plar. <br />Council President Fixler sagd, fxorn the minutes, he understoad there was another alternative. He <br />asked 'af that is feasible. <br />Mr. Mulilbach-exglainect the present and proposed la.yout and explained what the addi#ion will <br />accomplisk. <br />Council President Fixler said, for the reeord, hardship plays a very important roie.when CounEil acts <br />on a variance request. He asked what Mr. Russa's hardslv.p wouid be if he can't get this done. <br />Mr. Russo said he is not allowed to put his boat in his driveway and he would. like tQ stare his extra <br />car out of site. HE has a tin.y kitchen in his house now. He would fike to remain in Mayfield Village <br />and would hce -to improve the vaiue of 1}is hontie. He thinks a garage does not imprave the value of <br />a home as much as a kitchen and an extra bathroomdoes. There are no extra bathzooms in the plan. <br />In order to make a larger kitchen azea and improve the value of his home and ieave room for_ future <br />expansion off the dining room, that is the best solution they have come up with <br />Council President Fixler asked the proposed cost of the project. <br />Mr. Russa said he is waiting for the approval to go ahead. He intends to begin as sofln as possible <br />but may have to wait until Spring. <br />Mayor Rinker asked the current square footage of his home. <br />Ivlf. Russo. said the change will add about 8' (or 80 square feet) tv his #loor plan. <br />Mayor Rinker said it will impXOVe his floor plan, give him a better flow -hght and give him better <br />future options to add to the back. <br />Mr. Russo said his.lot is 400' deep. <br />Mrs. Ginco asked about his detached garage and whether there are problems with £re hazards with <br />side garages. She aiso questioned if Mr_ Russ€y had alt the vehicles liefore he purchased #he hame. <br />Mx. Russo said yes. <br />Mr. Samac said all attached garages or building within 10' must be drywalled. <br />Council President .Fixler asked if there were any further questions from Cottncil. He asked for a roll <br />call on the vote for consideration of a side yard variance request at 6707 Wilson Mills Road. <br />Roll Call: AYES: Mr. Buckholtz, Mr. Busa, Mr. Fixler, Mr.Mazquardt and Dr. Parker
