Regular Council Meeting
10-16-00
Page 10
how we might necessarily wind up landscaping S.O.M. It will be a work in progress but we need
parameters and a place to start and get the budget tighter in terms of the dollars we are going to
spend. This memorandum accomplishes that for us but it does not have the final say.
Dr. Parker said the only question he had (which he had last time and he does not think was
answered) was the type of trees. We discussed a number but 3 Oak trees would be different than 3
Evergreens. He asked if there is a way to determine this.
Mrs. Mills said in this memo he is talking about 450 trees and assumes that 1/3 of the trees are larger
4" caliber, 15-20' in height; and 2/3 are smaller 2" caliber, 8' high. We do not know what kind of
trees; we have not made that selection yet.
Mr. Ilacqua said we are not deciding that tonight.
Dr. Parker said cost-wise, we have the option of going either way at this point even if we approve
this.
Mr. Ilacqua said yes; maybe it's 350 with 50 of trees being more expensive.
Dr. Parker said we are not bound to saying we voted for 50 Evergreens.
Mr. Ilacqua and Mrs. Mills said no.
Mrs. Mills said they have to have someplace to start.
Council President Marquardt asked if there were any further comments.
There were no comments.
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: None
Motion Carried
The landscaping recommendation by URS Greiner dated 9-25-00 was accepted as a footprint for
landscaping SOM Center Road from Wilson Mills to White Road.
• A q-otion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of $7,389 to Imperial Heating for
repair of the boiler at Village Hall (possible additional expenditure depending on Finance
Committee .r~~oaa~tnea datiom)
Mrs. Mills, seconded by lY1r. Ilacqua, made a motion to authorize an expenditure in the amount of
$7,389 to Imperial Heating for repair of the boiler at Village Hall.

1
Roll Call: AYES: All
NAYS: No~c' Motion Carried
Expenditure Authorized
