Regular Council Meeting <br />10-16-00 <br />Page 13 <br />Mr. Samac said those 3 cases were granted relief because the residences were not in the flood zone. <br />It did not change the flood zone itself. It is only the fact that the lowest floor of that dwelling was <br />out of the flood zone. <br />Council President Marquardt asked if there were any further comments. <br />There were no additional comments. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None <br />Motion Carried <br />Authorization Granted <br />^ Authorization to go out for bids for emergency generator at Village Hall to power Village <br />Hall, Police annex (2) and Community Room <br />Mr. Busa, seconded by Dr. Parker, made a motion to go out for bids for emergency generator at <br />Village Hall to power Village Hall, Police annex (2) and Community Room. <br />Roll Call: AYES: All <br />NAYS: None Motion Carried <br />Expenditure Authorized <br />^ Discussion of gas deregulation <br />Council President Marquardt said this was already discussed. <br />Mrs. Mills asked if the letter was going to be sent out. <br />Mr. Brett said unless someone has a different idea. It may go with the ballot issue explanation letter. <br />^ Right of First Refusal -Rentschler property - 764 S.O.M. Center Road <br />Council President Marquardt asked if this needed to be done by ordinance. <br />Mr. Diemert said a motion to exercise our option is all we need" to do. <br />Mr. Ilacqua, seconded by Mrs. Cinco, made a motion to exercise the Village's option regarding the <br />Rentschler property, at 764 S.O.M. <br />Mr. Ilacqua said he has given this issue a great deal of thought and has spoken to Village officials <br />and Mr. DiMichele. He is confident Mr. DeMichele is not getting involved in this endeavor for real <br />estate speculation to turn and flip the property; he thinks his intentions are honorable. If he chose to <br />buy the property, he would be razing it. It is our pledge to protect the interests of the Village. That <br />property is certainly adjacent. He asked Mr. Diemert if Mr. DeMichele was offered money down the <br />
