Regular Council Meeting 10-16-00 Page 2 Council President Marquardt requested a report on the first two items at the next Caucus (the 1St Monday in November.) Dr. Parker suggested Mr. Lombardo check with the Holden Arboretum for advice on what kind of plants the deer don't eat, etc. Rita DeMichele introduced herself, husband Eugene and neighbor Tom Savoca of Hanover Woods. Mrs. DeMichele said their hope is to purchase the property at 764 S.O.M. Center Road for Mr. DeMichele's sister in Italy. The property is close to them and is close to RTA. The building is an eyesore and they feel that putting the money into remodeling the home would defeat their purposes. Their aim is to tear down the home and build a 2-3 bedroom ranch and redo the landscaping and install the driveway. Mr. DeMichele is a sewer contractor; he put in the sewer lateral. to the street and a new hot water tank and furnace and those will remain. We would listen to the City's requirements re brick, siding, etc. We also own the property next to this property. It would be to our advantage not to see something like a fast food establishment come in. We would like to maintain the atmosphere and are willing to sign documents saying that we would not do that to the Village. Council President Marquardt said this item is on our agenda tonight and we will take up discussion at that time. It will continue through December 8 depending on the weather.
