Regular Council Meeting <br />10-16-00 <br />Page 4 <br />Mrs. Roman added that they are probably going to have an open forum for all residents to attend <br />--on Monday, October 30. <br />Commission on Aging - Mr. Busa read the report from Mrs. Kalina. <br />Safety and Service -Mrs. Cinco said there was no meeting this month. <br />Finance Committee - (Agenda attached to minutes.) 1) Dr. Parker said after discussion, the <br />Committee decided to reduce the amount for the Opticom equipment to $54,615 which will <br />cover all signals except the signal at Lander. We will continue to pursue Highland Heights <br />participation in this. 2) Committee recommended approval. 3) Committee determined the <br />monies are available if needed. 4) That has been completed already. 5) Committee <br />recommended approval. 6) Committee recommended approval of $7,642 for a dampering <br />system that would help distribute the air properly so that we will have adequate temperature <br />control. 7) Committee authorized soliciting bids on this. 8) Committee recommended approval; <br />the approximate cost will be $10,000. <br />Hillcrest Council of Councils -Mrs. Cinco said they will meet this Saturday at 9 a.m. The <br />agenda includes political candidates. If you plan to attend, please R.S.V.P. <br />Historical Society -Mrs. Mills reported that work is continuing in the one-room schoolhouse <br />along with the minor projects in the house. Approximately 392 people attended the quilt show <br />this past weekend. The show was well-received; we all enjoyed working and visiting with the <br />people who came. Dr. and Mrs. Suppess won the quilt. Our next event will be our annual <br />Turkey Raffle on November 18 at the Mayfield Village Community Room. <br />M.A.R.C. Mrs. Cinco said they met October 5. Mr. Weinberg gave an update of the Fall <br />activities. We have a very successful youth gymnastic program this year along with the youth <br />hockey program for the ice hockey program at Gilmore. MBA registration is underway. <br />Ordinance Review Committee - Mr. Ilacqua said they did not meet in October. <br />Planning and Zoning -Mrs. Mills said there was no report. The next workshop meeting will be <br />held on Thursday. <br />Recreation Board - Mr. Buckholtz said the Board will meet this Wednesday at 8 p.m. instead of <br />7:30 p.m. There will be final planning for the Halloween Party on Saturday, October 28 and we <br />will continue discussing plans for the Parkview area. <br />Sewer Liaison Comm t~ tee - Mr. Buckholtz had no report. <br />Special Committce l~epo~-ts: <br />,~,.,._ <br />
